Hi, it's me Danielle

I've lived in Los Angeles for almost 10 years, and though it still doesn't feel like home, it is where I've built my family. Born and raised in Northern California, I dream about the trees and green hillsides. My childhood home was in a lovely town just at the base of Mount Diablo.

I'm fortunate to have made my passion(s) my work - utilizing my degrees in music for a career in music education as Choral Director of a local High School. I've also turned my hobbies into a small home business, Happy Duckling Designs.

This blog is a result of my love to write and is a way to document the humor in the daily whirlwind that is my life. I have a wonderfully curious toddler, Lincoln, and a verrrry active almost one-year-old, Easton - along with a husky/malamute mix named Bob (@thisdogisbob), two cats named Foster and Pistol, and my amazing husband Ben.

Between everyone in the fam, every day is a comedy...from potty training, to home renovation - we've got every angle covered. So buckle up and enjoy the rollercoaster of a ride that the Duckett house is bound to bring you on!
